The Nemasket Story...

Our story began when a group of families came together and made a decision. They wanted their sons and daughters to have a future — a future that included working and participating in everyday community life. The Nemasket Group was born from that idea and a lot of effort from families, friends, local officials and other state agencies.

Today, we support nearly 125 men and women from the Greater New Bedford and Wareham areas to develop career goals and gain employment.

Most are working in local businesses and companies in a variety of jobs including landscaping, medical support services, banking, industrial manufacturing, materials handling and food services. People are earning wages, paying taxes and leading typical lives.
